John Muir & Yosemite
John Muir was a great naturalist, whose life and work was intimately tied up with Yosemite Valley in California.
Muir was an early advocate of the preservation of wilderness in the United States, and eventually his activism helped to preserve the Yosemite Valley, Sequoia National Park, and other wilderness areas. He was the founder of the Sierra Club, now one of the most important conservation organizations in the United States.
This video piece on YouTube about John Muir is from my film, California: A Tribute.
